When someone is shopping for phones under 8000 they expect low end phone with less features and low end specifications. But you can get amazing phones with 2GB RAM and midrange CPUs and even 4G connectivity. Here I have made a list of best smart phones under 8000.
This list contains only android phones because I find windows phones low powered when compared to android phones in the same price range and of course you can’t get an apple device at this price range.
1.Lenovo A6000 Plus
Lenovo A6000 Plus was launched on April 2015. It is 8.2mm thick and weighs 128g. The display is a 5inch IPS capacitive display with a resolution of 720×1280 (HD) pixels that counts to 294ppi. It is running the Android V4.4.4 KitKat and is upgradable to android Lollipop (5.0.2). On top of the android it is running Lenovo Vibe 2.0 which is Lenovo’s own user interface. Running everything is the midrange Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad core processor with 1.2GHz of clock speed. The GPU is Adreno 306. The processor is accompanied by 2GB of RAM. The above configuration is usually sufficient for most of the users, even for the power users. The storage space is 16GB and can be expanded up to 32GB using a Micro SD card.On the rear, there is an 8MP camera with LED flash and autofocus. Videos can be recorded in 720p resolution. The front camera is a 2MP sensor. In multimedia, the phone sports a stereo speakers with Dolby Digital Technology which can output some quality sound. Micromax has been brining quality phones to the market and they have done the same with this phone also. Micromax canvas Nitro A311 has a 5 inch 720×1280 pixel HD display with a pixel density of 294ppi. The display is coated with Oleo phobic coating to provide anti finger print feature. It is running Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) out of the box. Inside is the 1.7GHz + MT6592 octa core processor assisted by a Mali-540 GPU and 2GB of RAM. The internal storage is 16GB which is expandable up to 32GB using Micro SD slot. There is a 5MP front camera and a 13MP rear camera which can shoot Full HD videos. The back camera uses a Sony IMX135 CMOS sensor with F2.2 aperture. The phone has dual sim capability but lacks 4G LTE connectivity. The battery is a 2500mAh with 320 hours of standby time.
3.Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime
The Redmi 2 Prime was released on August 2015. It is 9mm thick and weighs 133g. The display is 4.7inch IPS capacitive with 720×1280 pixels HS resolution which ends up with 312 ppi. It is a multi-touch display.The phone is running the Android 4.4.4(KitKat). There are no whereabouts on the upgrades yet. On top of the android operating system, it is running Xiaomi’s own MIUI. The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad core 1.2GHz processor backed up by 2GB of RAM. The GPU is Aderno 306. The storage is 16GB expandable up to 32GB with the help of Micro SD card.On the rear there is an 8MP camera with autofocus and LED flash. The pixel size of the sensor is 1.4µm. It can record 1080p videos at 30 frames per second. On front there is a 2MP camera. The phone has active noise cancelation feature with dedicated mic.The phone has fast charging capability. It can charge to 30% in 30 minutes. The batter is 2200 mAh battery. It is available in white and dark grey color. It has dual sim support with 4G capability.
Lenovo A6000 has everything same as the Lenovo A6000 Plus with some short comings. It has the same 1.2 GHz Snapdragon processor, 8MP camera and 2MP front facing camera. It looks and feels exactly same a Lenovo A6000 Plus. No one can tell the difference right away. The short comings are that it has only 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 32GB with Micro SD card.
