Guide to Update HTC One A9 to Android Nougat Manually

As all of us know that HTC has recently released its Android 7.0 Nougat update for HTC One M9. This update is coming through OTA, but so many people have not received the same yet creating worries for the users.

Read this First :

  • It would be advisable to take the backup of your device and then move ahead.
  • Also check the battery backup your phone that it may have minimum 50-60% battery in it.

Manually update HTC One A9 to Android Nougat :

  • Setting> Developer Option> Enable debugging option
  • To enable Developer Options à about Phone> tap on the build number seven times.
  • Then download ADB and fast boot driver for windows or else you may also download ADB and Fast boot for Mac and install it on the computer.
  • Now download the Nougat RUU zip for HTC One M9 from given above the source of Copy ROM to the folder, where you have installed the ADB.
  • Connect your device with a laptop or computer and boot the same into boot loader mode by using the command.
adb reboot bootloader
  • You can also use manual process like à Switch off your phone > press and hold the Power button + down volume button altogether >in download mode now use up and down volume buttons to navigate and also power to confirm.
  • If you have found this sign “!”, then hold the power button and press the upside volume.
  • Now you can flash the RUU ZIP file on HTC One A9 with the command.
adb sideload file_name.zip
  • Wait till the process ends and then reboot your device.
  • Congratulations! You are successfully done!

Here is another method of the same process :

  1. Settings > Developer Options> USB debugging
  2. Download HTC One A9 Nougat OTA Zip and save on your storagedevice.
  3. Connect the phone to the computer and boot your HTC 10 into recovery mode.
  4. Now from there, select àInstallthe update from phone storage.
  5. Select the OTA file and wait for the remaining process to complete the task.
  6. You are done!
